Shah Rukh Khan recently alarmed his vast fanbase when he was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. SRK was at the Narendra Modi Stadium alongside his daughter Suhana Khan and son AbRam Khan, cheering for his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, as they played against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Unfortunately, during the match, Shah Rukh suffered from heatstroke and had to be taken to the hospital. The good news for Shah Rukh Khan's fans is that the actor has recovered and returned home. After receiving treatment for heatstroke and dehydration, he was discharged from the hospital. Shah Rukh, accompanied by his wife Gauri Khan, daughter Suhana, and manager Pooja Dadlani, flew back on a private chartered plane. On arrival, strict safety measures were in place to keep the superstar away from the paparazzi. In images shared online, Suhana and AbRam were seen exiting the airport first, followed by Gauri and Pooja. Shah Rukh himself was shielded by a person holding an umbrella as he made his way out.
On May 23, 2024, Shah Rukh Khan's manager, Pooja Dadlani, provided a health update on her Instagram stories, reassuring his fans. She wrote, "To all of Mr. Khan's fans and well-wishers - he is doing well. Thank you for your love, prayers and concern." Following his recovery, Shah Rukh expressed gratitude to his fans for their support and for cheering his team during the match. However, in his enthusiasm, he inadvertently interrupted the match commentators, including Suresh Raina and Aakash Chopra. Realizing his mistake, he humbly apologized with folded hands, a gesture that won the hearts of the commentators. They responded warmly, hugging him and praising his humility. Aakash Chopra remarked on his microphone, "Oh, what a man! Legend! He did not even realize that he walked into the studio. He was very apologetic, but I said, 'You made our day. You are the showstopper'."

Aakash later shared the viral video of the incident, writing, "He’s an absolute legend. Lots of love and respect." Suresh Raina also took to his social media to praise SRK, posting, "It was wonderful catching up with the always humble @iamsrk today. Despite his superstar status, he maintains his down-to-earth demeanor, showcasing humility in every interaction. Congratulations to KKR for making it to the finals! #KKR."
